Culture in Žilina

Nowadays, Žilina is going through a dynamic period, not only considering the industrial development, but also a development of culture. In this field, the town of Žilina gains a new identity through miscellaneous portfolio of cultural events, overlapping to social spheres, cultural and congress tourism, sports as well as to the all-society level. Žilina has a vision of being understood not only as an intersection of industry and business, but also as an international intersection of education and culture on the map of Europe.

Due to its simple availability (international highway, railway and airport), Žilina is a popular destination of important annual international events, congresses, European and world competitions.
